Outnumbered
Gums & Bones is one person and twenty-nine animals, all rescues. The studio is named after two of my cats, named after their issues when we found them. Routines and habits are genuinely how our house stays functional.
Each app does one single thing remarkably well, clean and simple by design. Every feature that could compete for a user's attention is optional, adjustable, or off by default. Distraction is a real problem, so I build my apps with that in mind.
Patter is the first app. More are coming — each one focused on a single thing, each one named after something animals do. That's the pattern. Small tools that do their job without trying to become your entire life.
I design, build, write the copy, maintain the website, and use my apps on a daily basis. Without any bloody meetings. If something's broken, it's my fault. If something works well, it's also my fault.
